Who is organising the Darwin-Garramilla Shorebird Festival?

BirdLife Top End

BirdLife Top End is a regional branch of BirdLife Australia and is run by a volunteer committee. BirdLife Top End offers its members an opportunity to participate in a wide range of bird related activities and conservation initiatives. One of the main activities of BirdLife Top End is the monthly shorebird monitoring across the coastal area of Darwin-Garramilla.

About our group

The BirdLife Top End branch offers community activities centred around the conservation of birds and their habitats in the Top End of the Northern Territory. Members can participate in a variety of bird-related educational resources, workshops, events and excursions. We also conduct research and monitoring programs, capacity-building initiatives, representation and advocacy for birds under threat, and share knowledge and raise awareness among community members, and form collaborative partnerships with groups and Indigenous owners that manage the land on which birds belong.
